"Turfgrass stress"is a term that's commonly used when the turfgrass surface doesn't look quite right. But, there are so many factors that can cause stress, such as high or low temperatures, pest and disease attacks, wear from use, and high or low light intensity. What is not commonly understood is that, most of the time, stress is caused by an interruption to the vital process of photosynthesis.

Photosynthesis is the conversion of sunlight into chemical energy to drive the reactions that create carbohydrates used as the fuel for all plant growth processes. Factors that interrupt the electron transport train (ETC) result in oxygen molecules leaving the ETC and become highly charged and interfere with energy producing reactions. Little or no carbohydrates are produced for fuel and is expressed in plant stress symptoms, e.g. weak growth, slow recovery from damage, loss of colour and ingress of disease.
BioNutrition helps the plant to increase the production of anti-oxidants that help the plant to withstand stress factors, helping you to keep preparing great playing surfaces.
