The use of pesticides in many Euriopean countries are much more restricted than in the UK, requiring innovative and imaginative solutions from turfgrass managers. I have helped Golf Course and Stadium Superintendents by advising on the useof biostimulanst and managing rootzones to favour soil microbes to prevent turf diseases and keep the grass strong and vigorous. I have worked in Germany, Norway, Sweden, and Iceland, and supplied treatemtns to Finland and Switzerland.
